Roots&Hybrid Festival returns for the fourth year in a row. In a collaboration between SPOT and det turkise telt, the sub-festival present 20 ear-opening live acts sure to introduce you to new sounds and new grooves.
Placed in a completely reimagined Rå Hal, you are invited along for a ride through some of the most curious and progressive takes on modern folk and roots-music around right now. Step into kaleidoscopic soundscapes, new harmonies, deep contemplation and wicked parties.
A three-day adventure in and out through a global movement that dives deep in folk traditions, only to combine them in new hybrid ideas and colorful experiments. Roots&Hybrid Festival 2020 showcases you the best of Danish Roots&Hybrid-music, while also reeling in some of the most interesting and important names from the international stage.
“The collaboration with det turkise telt around Roots&Hybrid supplements SPOT’s ambitions with our festival format. We want to present a broad – preferably contrasting – palette of new music to a large and curious audience. If we – at the same time – can strengthen the conditions of local organizers’ associations and work with their different music areas, then it would strengthen our future prosperity”, adds Gunnar Madsen, Head of SPOT festival.
The first five names include everything from South African folk-pop to Danish dream jazz and Palestinian club bangers.
