SPOT+ Extra – More Online Q&A Sessions With Music Supervisors

Meet Yvette Metoyer/SuperMusicVision & Samantha Hilscher/Lionsgate!

As you know, SPOT festival 2020 and also the big industry conference, SPOT +, unfortunately is canceled. But as previously announced, we are working on a small “virtual” replacement for SPOT + through a series of online sessions with some of the music supervisors who should have visited SPOT + this year.

April 21st: From 18:30 – 19:30 (DK-time): Q&A-session: Yvette Metoyer, music supervisor/SuperMusic Vision

April 23rd: From 18:30 – 19:30 (DK-time): Q&A-session: Samantha Hilscher, music supervisor/Lionsgate

This session is targeted to film composers, sound designers, producers, music publishers and managers.

The session is an online/ZOOM-session. Once you’ve been accepted to take part, you’ll receive an invitation to join in via ZOOM

Deadline for application: “first come – first serve” – but no later than Monday the 20th of April.

Yvette Metoyer

A one year apprenticeship with SuperMusicVision blossomed into a ten year working relationship with exciting collaborations on multiple film & TV projects, including the Emmy-award winning AMC series, “Breaking Bad” and the zombie apocalypse ratings juggernaut, “The Walking Dead”. Yvette currently works as music supervisor on the acclaimed new courtroom drama series “For Life” – created by Hank Steinberg and executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, as well as the friendship dramedy series “Sistas” for Tyler Perry Studios. Complimenting her career, Yvette is a member of Black Women in Media Collective, founded by a group of friends and colleagues who are highly skilled in their respective fields of the entertainment business, with the goal of uplifting and supporting women on a mission towards success and breaking barriers in the industry.

 

Samantha Hilscher, Director of TV Music at Lionsgate

After a career in artist management, Samantha quickly realized that her creative passion lies in music for television. After a year of gaining invaluable music legal experience, she began working on the Lionsgate TV Music team. Samantha oversees music for Lionsgate’s hit series, including Orange is the New Black, Dear White People, Greenleaf, and Step Up: High Water, among several others. She’s currently working on Lionsgate’s new musical for NBC, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and a new show for HBO Max starring Anna Kendrick, Love Life.
